Placa Redonda is an unusual, attractive, small, round square with a fountain in the middle. Built in the 1830s from the plans of Salvador Escrig, it is entered through archways. There are shops and stalls selling souvenirs, ceramics, lace and clothes. On Sundays, a flea market takes over and in the surrounding alleyways are many stalls selling all manner of goods as well as young animals and birds.
