Plaza Mayor is Vic`s main square and around it are buildings of different ages and styles with Gothic, Baroque, Renaissance and Modernist facades. In the square is the Gothic Town Hall which dates from the late 14th Century. Markets are held here every Tuesday and Saturday and then it is full of stalls selling fruit, vegetables, flowers, pottery and clothes. They have been held here since the 10th Century, and its largest market, when there is Sardona dancing, takes place on the Saturday before Palm Sunday.
