Puebla de Santabria boasts many buildings of historical interest including a castle built in the 15th Century by the Counts of Benavente. There are many steep, medieval alleyways and houses with balconies. In the Plaza Mayor is the Church of Nuestra Senora del Azogue which dates from the 13th Century and there are beautiful carvings around its portal. Nearby is the 16th Century Town Hall.
