The Pont Reial is one of the oldest bridges in Valencia. It was built to link a palace with the Convent of Santo Domingo. It crosses the riverbed of the Turio but the palace was demolished a long time ago. The bridge was partly rebuilt in the baroque style in 1598 for the celebration of the marriage of Felipe 111 to Margarita of Austria. There are statues Of Sant Vicent at the bridge.
