The Jardines del Real were once royal gardens surrounding a palace. The palace was demolished a long time ago and the grounds have been a public park for over one hundred years. It is a popular place for taking a stroll or having a picnic and there are playgrounds for children as well as a miniature train. Near the entrance in Calle San Pio V is a gate that belonged to another demolished palace.
