Samil Beach is the largest beach in Vigo and it is popular because of its fine white sand. It is over one kilometre long and has a lifeguard and red cross point. Sea bathing assistance is available for the disabled and there are showers and footbaths. There are facilities for children and nearby are pools, basketball courts, green spaces and picnic places. There are also cafes and restaurants. It is also a good place for taking a stroll.
