The Santa Maria Church was built in the Neo-classical style in the early 19th Century on the site of an earlier church. It is in the shape of a basilica with a central nave that is higher than the aisles on each side. The Doric columns are ornamented with triglyphs. An interesting feature on the facade is the early 19th Century sundial by sculptor Juan Agustin Diomminguez.
