The Parque Natural Sierra de Maria is a quiet area of hills with pines, oaks and other small trees. It is close to the province of Murcia. It is a great place for walks and is especially beautiful in spring when there are many flowers. The park is also known for its birds which include birds of prey such as eagles. There is a visitor centre and information can also be obtained from the tourist centre in Velez Blanco.
