Tarazona was at one time the seat of the kings of Aragon and its cathedral is one of the most unusual in the area. The building is in several styles and it was partly rebuilt in the 15th and 16th centuries. Originally it was in the Gothic style, but it has Mudejar towers and a Renaissance facade. There are also two finely carved Gothic tombs of Avignon cardinals.
