The Palau de la Generalitit is a 15th Century palace with two later towers and a Gothic patio containing an early 20th Century sculpture of Dante`s Inferno by Benlliure. The finest treasure of the palace is the Golden Saloon which has a beautiful artesonado ceiling of many colours. In the Royal Hall are portraits of the Valencian Kings, whilst in the Salon de Cortes is another magnificent ceiling with frescoes relating to the Valencian parliament.
