Valencia has several beaches and amongst the best is La Malvarrosa Beach which is over one mile long and composed of fine, golden sand. It has a promenade and access is provided for those with reduced mobility. The beach has a lifeguard and a Red Cross point. There is a sports area and a children`s playground, and plenty of restaurants are nearby. Another beach close to Valencia is the popular Cabana-Arenas Beach and it has full facilities.
