Vejer De La Frontera is an atmospheric white town set inland on the side of a hill. The castle was built by the Moors in the 9th and 10th centuries but it was converted into a house during the 19th Century. There is a museum where you can see one of the black cloaks that the local women wore until the end of the 20th Century. The cloak covered all of the face except for the eyes.
