Vic Cathedral was built in the late 18th Century in a Neo-classical style, and it incorporates a Romanesque tower from the 11th Century. The striking, large murals on the walls of biblical scenes in red and green were created by Catalan artist Josep Maria Sert to replace his earlier work damaged by fire during the Civil War. He died in 1945 and is buried in the cloister. At the end of the ambulatory is a 15th Century alabaster retable.
