Vilanova i la Geltru has about three miles of beaches which are composed of fine sand. They have lifeguards and first aid posts. Sun loungers and sun shades can be hired and there is usually somewhere to buy drinks and ice cream. Most have bars and restaurants. At the Platja de Ribes Roges showers are available and also at this beach canoes can be hired.
