Vilaflor is the highest village on Tenerife and stands at a height of 3800 feet above sea level on the slopes of the El Teide National Park. In the main square is the 17th Century Church of San Pedro, dedicated to the founder of the Order of Bethlehem in Guatemala. Above the town is a spectacular viewpoint, the Mirador de San Roque. The village is a good place to buy art and crafts and it is a good base for walks.
