The Archaeology Museum is in the town hall which dates from the early 18th Century and has a fine Renaissance facade. The greatest attraction is the Tresoro de Villena, a gold collection from the Bronze Age. This hoard was found near Villena in the 1960s and it consists of decorated gold bracelets, torcs and bowls dating from about 3000 BC. There are other interesting exhibits, some of gold, from other nearby archaeological sites.
