Castillo de Villalonso is a fine castle dating from the 15th Century and much of it has been preserved. The Tower of Homage with its splendid crenellations is still standing and above the entrance gate is the elaborate coats of arms of the Ulloa family. There were two enclosures but the outside one and much of the moat are no longer visible. This castle played an important role during the era of Queen Isabel the Catholic.
