Zuheros is in a spectacular location surrounded by limestone crags. The village has a ruined Islamic castle that dates back to the Nineth Century. Later on it was modified and used as a palace. Nearby is a church that was once a mosque, and opposite the castle is the Archaeology Museum containing some important finds from the Cueva de los Murcielagos.
